Destabilization of Emulsion Oil Separation by using Chemical Coagulation Process: Preliminary Investigation for Effective Analysis

Abstract Removal of pollutants produced by industrial plants requires reusing water and access to the environment standard. The chemical coagulation process is a convectional method for wastewater treatment reduce oxygen demand total suspend solids. objective this work study effect initial pH, coagulant type, dosage used on separation performance at different oil concentrations. Based result, 800 mg/L aluminum sulphate could remove up 80% 1g/L 2g/L residual in wastewater, whereas 3g/L that with pH ranging from 7 8 be removed 90%. In instance ferric chloride, high removal efficiency achieved utilizing concentration 500 900 mg/L. Results show that, 700 chloride 90% synthetic (1 g/L, 2 3 g/L). However, only 60–85 % within same dosage. summary, further possibility removing considered.
